Blustery winds and drizzly rain for a week but on the inaugural CoWL in the Garden event the sun was shining on us. 🌞
And it all started with a little seed of an idea…
We all know that gardening and the great outdoors is good for supporting your mental and physical health, we all know that eating more fruit and veg is good for your mental and physical health, we all know that meeting up with like-minded people is a way to reconnect after Covid but is also good for your mental health.
So, how can we combine it all together? …
…we swapped seeds, plants, cuttings or donated and took the extras…
…we did scavenger hunts and tombola and raffles with some great prizes…
…we had delicious smoothies made by our very own legs on a bike…
…we made our very own Gardener’s Hand Scrub from natural ingredients…
…we painted stones with garden themes…
…we listened to our fabulous guest speakers…
…we lunched and then had tea and cake…
But the best thing of all is that we talked and communicated and laughed and met new people and caught up with old friends. It was good to be out and about again with good company, a bite to eat and a common interest. 🌻
