Happy Pancake Day everyone! This year, we celebrated Shrove Tuesday early with our young carers thanks to the kind generosity of Stack and Still and Cash for Kids. Anyone for pancakes with some outrageously decadent toppings? Mmm, yes please!
We gathered in Stack and Still Livingston and met manager Paul. Paul told us that he wants to support Cash for Kids by donating all of the profits from pancakes sold at the Edinburgh and Livingston stores on Shrove Tuesday. Paul wants to try and raise £50,000 for Cash for Kids, so let us try and boost the fundraising by eating delicious pancakes, the easiest way to raise money ever!

Tal and Rebecca from Cash for Kids can then organize fantastic trips out like the one we attended—the young carers all received a free Cash for Kids T-Shirt too! Cash for Kids also offers grants and Mission Christmas to help all vulnerable children across Edinburgh, Fife and the Lothians.
Some of our young carers have only ever met on Zoom, so to physically meet, talk, chat and giggle was so heart-warming to see. They had a brilliant time and rated it a very high 96%
Here are some quick quotes from the young carers about their favourite parts of the night:
“I like socializing”
“It was fun!”
“REALLY yummy”
“Enjoyed spending time with others”
“Food and having company”
We are all really grateful to both Stack and Still and Cash for Kids for the opportunity. Stack and Still are still taking limited numbers of walk-ins for Pancake day, so if you can, head down for some delicious food and to support a great cause!
