Quilt Update 23rd July

We are delighted to be able to show you some of the squares we have received which will be used in making our 30th anniversary quilt. The most recent of which was received in the post today and represents when Carers of West Lothian first started out 30 years ago and were housed in an office space above the Dovehill Arms in Uphall. The second shows the date our Young Carers project started.

The next square was created from a quote that a carer from our coffee morning gave us and the 2 next to it are representative of the peer support our carers receive by attending our coffee morning.

Lastly we have an example of a patch that was created by printing a document onto fabric, so if you would like to get involved but can’t sew, please don’t be put off. Send us your poems or pictures and we can turn them into a patch for our quilt. If you would like to be involved and would like to have a square sent out please call 01506 448000 or if you have something you would like printed onto fabric send it to office@carers-westlothian.com

We are very excited to tell you about our Carers of West Lothian community 30th anniversary quilt project. With your help, our plan is to start off our 30th anniversary celebrations by creating a quilt.  We would like our service users to decorate a square, which will be one of 30 used to make our commemorative quilt which will be displayed in our office at Sycamore House.

We currently have 16 people on board but would really love to get as many people involved as possible. We would like you to think about what Carers of West Lothian means to you (how we have supported you over the years) and decorate your square (which we will provide) accordingly.

If you would like to get involved or have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in contact with us:
